For Delbrouck, every exhibition is an opportunity to create a new approach towards his images often depending on the mood of the moment. In this show, the idea of painting is also a way for the artist to revisit the classical installation and presentation of paintings in the tradition of art museums. Showing his images for the first time as single paintings is a new experiment. In addition to this peaceful and contemplative presentation on the walls, he also presents lots of documentation, spreads from book dummies and objects in display cases. They give an insight into the research and the unusual interconnexions created by the artist in his studio, wich functions as a cabinet of curiosities.
