Juanan Requena

Júanán Requena (b. Spain) is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist who works at the intersection of photography, poetry, and installation. His work is emotional, fragile, and deeply personal. He creates visual diaries that explore memory, time, and the inner self.

Requena’s art blends images, text, found objects, and handmade books. His process is intuitive and tactile. Every piece feels like a fragment of a larger story—unfinished, intimate, and poetic.

He often presents his work in immersive installations. These include hanging prints, handwritten notes, fabric, and sound. The result is a physical space that reflects his inner world.

Requena does not separate life from art. He collects and creates constantly—writing, photographing, and assembling pieces as a daily ritual. His work resists categorization, flowing between photography, performance, and bookmaking.

He is best known for his ongoing project Al borde de todo mapa (At the Edge of All Maps). It takes the form of a living archive—part journey, part confession.

Requena has exhibited widely across Spain and Europe, including major photography festivals and art spaces. Stieglitz19 has presented his work, highlighting his role in the poetic and conceptual photography scene.

Júanán Requena invites viewers into a universe of emotion, memory, and delicate transformation—where every image is a trace of something lived, lost, or longed for.
