Lara Gasparotto

Lara Gasparotto (b. 1989, Liège, Belgium) is a Belgian photographer known for her emotive, spontaneous, and poetic images. A graduate of Saint-Luc École Supérieure des Arts in Liège, she has developed a distinctive visual style that blends intimacy, mysticism, and raw beauty.

Gasparotto’s photographs—both in color and black-and-white—capture fleeting moments of youth, freedom, and emotional vulnerability. Her subjects are often friends and familiar places, seen through an unfiltered, personal lens.

Rather than creating structured series, she builds visual diaries—fragmented, intuitive collections of images that feel both personal and universal. Her work balances opposites: the tender and provocative, the vivid and subdued, the ordinary and surreal. This tension is central to her approach.

Gasparotto invites viewers into a world that feels dreamlike yet grounded, where memory, ritual, and emotionintertwine.

She began exhibiting internationally at a young age. By 23, she had solo shows at major venues including the Biennale de la Photographie de Liège, Photo Breda, Bonnefantenmuseum (Maastricht), Guangdong Museum of Art(Guangzhou), Three Shadows Photography Art Centre (Beijing), and the OCT Art Center (Shenzhen).
