Antony Cairns
Antony Cairns (b. 1980) is a renowned British photographer based in London, England, known for his experimental approach to urban landscapes and dedication to analog photography techniques. A graduate of the London College of Printing with first-class honours in Photography (2002), Cairns combines a deep respect for the history of photography with a passion for alternative printing processes. His work is firmly rooted in chemical-based methods, including collotype printing, a craft he studied in depth after winning the prestigious Hariban Awardin 2015 at the Benrido Collotype Atelier in Japan.
Cairns’ innovative photographic works have been showcased at major international photography exhibitions and art fairs, such as Unseen Photo Fair (Amsterdam), Photobastei (Zurich), Paris Photo, and Photo London. His recent solo exhibitions include OSC – Osaka Station City at Roman Road, London, and LA-LV / LDN_Process at SferaExhibition, Kyoto, presented as part of KYOTOGRAPHIE 2016.
